Book, Film & Anime Characters

有名な映画やアニメのキャラクターは、どれもいいデザインで、スタイルが違うので、気に入ったキャラクターを見ると、色々作ってみます。特にイギリスで昔から人気の「ウインドインザウイロー」や「アーダモン」のクレイモデルの作品を見て勉強します。スタジオジブリの作品は、どれも僕の大のお気に入りで、練習中です。

I like making these characters because they have amazing designs and their styles are very different to each other. My favourites are Studio Ghibli characters, and the animals from ‘The Wind in the Willows’. I am also a big fan of Aardman Animations, especially Wallace and Gromit by Nick Park!

Daddy’s “Dibs”!

お父さんは僕のクレイモデルの大ファンで、いつもいいのが完成すると、誰よりも先に「これ、もらい〜！」っと言って、自分の書斎の棚に大事に並べて集めているんです。お父さんがリクエストしたキャラクターがすごく上手くできたときは、すごく喜んでくれるから、僕もすごく嬉しくなります。

The reason why “Daddy’s “Dibs”” is called “Daddy’s “Dibs”” is because he is my biggest clay fan so far, and whenever he sees a clay model that he likes he puts “dibs” on it faster than you can say “Rumpelstiltskin”!

僕の友達はみんなポケモンが大好きで、ポケモンカードはイギリスでも大人気です。どのキャラクターもデザインがすごく良くて、色々なキャラクターを作ります。僕のクレイモデルのファンの友達は、作って欲しいキャラクターをリクエストして、自分のポケモンカードとトレードしてくれるんです！

All of my friends love Pokemon! Even though I’m still learning how to play the game, the pictures and designs are great, and that is how I got to know about Pokemon characters.

My friends are even willing to trade Pokemon cards for my character models!
